Supply Chain Manager (h/f)
for all site construction materials & equipment
based in DUBAI HO – United Arab Emirates
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager Middle East, you will develop and implement company policy, provide expert advice on all purchasing and Logistic decisions, negotiate Framework agreement for large purchases and respond to any claims.
Your accountability:
• You will be expected to define series of policies and procedures in line with Group policies that form the basis for all interaction between the company and suppliers.
• You will take part in the implementation of a newly defined common platform
• Your primary responsibility will be strategic and governance related
• You will be responsible for purchases and inventories management of all site construction materials & equipment for our different sites in the gulf region and possible new markets
• You will offer technical assistance and know-how in relation to alternative materials, techniques, methods (formworks etc...)
• You will be responsible to make proposals to enhance purchase synergy with other subsidiaries and subsequently be responsible for the organization and implementation of the same.
• You will develop international sourcing procedures taking into account logistic aspects , further develop a supplier´s database and evaluation systems in close collaboration with Brussels Head office
• You will implement cost reduction programs including synergies and technical improvements
• You will reach for sustainable cost reduction leading to margin improvements integrating risk analysis and quality control
• You will make yearly proposals and action plans to improve procurement budgets and target financial optimization
• You will enthusiastically lead your team, be a role model, a leader and a great motivator.

• You will be able to evaluate performances of your purchase service on a regular basis, keeping an update of your internal customers feed-back. • You are communicative and provide your internal customers pro-actively with preventive information.
• You lead and manage projects which are complex and significant in terms of time and budget and report to senior management.
• You interpret and evaluate alternative solutions based on risk management.
• You have direct budget responsibility.
Your profile:
• You possess a university degree, ideally as commercial engineer or an economics degree.
• You have excellent relevant experience as a Senior Purchaser within a multinational and complex environment
• Experience in the fields of construction or civil works is an asset
• You are a talented negotiator, excellent people manager
• You have a very good knowledge of English and French, Dutch is an asset
• You have a good command of Microsoft Office Tools and you are IT minded
• You are persevering, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial combined with a strong sense of responsibility and flexibility
• You possess an Hands on approach
• You are willing to travel to our suppliers as well as to our different sites.
